VIPUL SHAH’S RESIDENCE: A GRAND SCHEME
Set within Silver Oak Estate, 15 km from Vadodara, this residence reimagines the idea of a farmhouse as a permanent home. Though the civil structure was pre-built, key modifications were made to align with the client’s vision—blending traditional character with modern comfort and understated opulence.
The design draws from vernacular elements like the King Post sloping roof with chill wood decking and Mangalore tiles, reinterpreted in a refined material palette. Polished Kota stone flooring, exposed wooden ceilings, and painted surfaces with curated artwork create a warm, tactile environment. Most furniture was custom-designed on site, with a few select pieces by NID designers.
Large glazed openings establish a strong connection to the landscape, while custom M.S. grills provide security without compromising views. A folded M.S. staircase leads to the terrace, adding a sculptural element to the single-level layout.
The home balances the essence of a farmhouse with the demands of contemporary living—grounded, open, and subtly luxurious.
